Kari Örjavik
Kari is the Chief Executive Officer of Grolink. She works with marketing and organisation of producers. She also works with production and processing. Kari has degree in Psychology from the university with focus on cognitive behaviour. Kari has been organic farmer since 1977, she has focus on vegetable production on the farm Torfolk Gård. She has also been involved in the processing of jams at the inustry that is located on the farm.
In 1983 Kari took the initiative to the establishment of the first co-operative for organic products in Sweden - Samodlarna, and she has had leading positions in both the regional and national organisations. She has been working with sourcing and marketing for most of the major players in the Swedish organic markets and especially in helping supermarkets to develop their organic programmes. Kari has been market coordinator in several projects. She organize groups of exporters to different fairs for organic around the world. Kari has been active in KRAV (the Swedish certification body) as board member, and is in the standard committee. She is also the chair of IFOAM Trade Forum.
